Feels like: Childish Gambino, Shad
Need an uplift after all the shit headlines these days? Check out this great video from Flying Lotus. Sprouts a little gold in an otherwise bleak world.
Feels like: Mikky Ekko, Alt-J, Max Frost
Check out this gooder from Chet Faker. The video is pretty dang mesmerizing. It's like watching those bird toys that bob up and down into a bowl of water, just plain rhythmic and comforting.

Hello Brethren!! We are ramping back up our blog activity here at Brethren ground zero. This might/definitely has included such happenings as the physical relocation of brethren of the blog (still in Nashville, don't worry), new blog bands, and new blog songs with good blog sounds. I know that sounds more like a Dr. Seuss verse than a blog entry, but I had to get out all of this pent-up nervous energy and it turns out that child-like rhymes are my coping mechanism. I digress... With the Christmas season upon us and holiday playlists in full tilt, it is always tough finding new material to add to holiday repertoire. Not one to shy away from a challenge, Vulpeck, the funkified rhythm group out of L.A, deliver with their new release of "Christmas in L.A.". Right in-step with the rest of their catalog, this up-tempo Motown tribute of a holiday song is one that I will definitely be brining into the fold for the family to enjoy this Christmas. Check out the video below. It's good to be back.
