Feels Like: Jamie Lidell, Sunny Levine, Chromeo
Too much R&B singers these days take a kitchen-sink approach to their production. Thankfully, Caught a Ghost doesn't misstep. Taking a minimalist, repeating bassline and layering on some subtle touches (and, of course, a sax solo), Caught a Ghost achieves a groove primed for late night listening. Madonna could get down to this.
