Favorite Waitress may be the best album title since folk music folded its way into Americana and "Cherry Licorice" is about as good as an introduction from such a promising album title. This is one of the longest gaps between Felice Brothers' albums, a whopping 2 years, but it doesn't seem like they lost their stride one bit. "Licorice" still packs as much accordion and charm as anything they've ever done.
